Op-Ed: The Fabians and the Constitution

By,

Note: The term “Fabian” refers to members of the Fabian Society, a socialist movement founded in the United Kingdom in 1884 that advocated for the gradual transformation of society toward socialism through reforms and education, avoiding violent revolution.

Democratic ideologues are openly treating our sacred charter of liberty as an obsolete contract drafted by a bunch of white slave owners sweating under their powdered wigs in the Philadelphia summer in order to perpetuate their privileges. This simplification aims at diluting the impact of America on the world historically and geopolitically. Most importantly, by undermining the people’s trust in our Constitution, they hope to dismantle the entire system from its very foundations and uproot the basic principles of our great nation. It is all deliberate.

Let’s review the issues the left has with our Constitution, particularly with the first two amendments in the Bill of Rights:

First Amendment

Freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition

Protects the rights to speak freely, practice any (or no) religion, publish opinions, gather peacefully, and petition the government for redress of grievances.

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

Second Amendment

Right to bear arms

Affirms the individual’s right to keep and bear arms, originally linked to the idea of a well-regulated militia.

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

Progressives have criticized First Amendment protections when they label them as “hate speech”.

Gun control advocates often argue that the Second Amendment is outdated—written in an era of muskets, not high-caliber firearms. That’s true. But what they conveniently ignore is that the government—the most powerful and potentially dangerous force in our lives—has drastically increased the firepower it wields. So have the criminals. The same violent offenders that left-wing DAs and lenient judges keep releasing with a slap on the wrist somehow have no trouble getting their hands on modern weapons. So why should law-abiding citizens be left defenseless?

Critics argue this reckless disregard for public safety stems from politically driven bail reform and diversion policies that prioritize ideology over true justice.

For example:

– In New York City, two convicted killers were released without bail under 2019 reforms, only to be rearrested for drug-related activities—despite their violent histories.

– In Philadelphia, federal prosecutors highlighted repeat violent offenders who were dismissed or plea‑dealt by the DA’s office—only to go on and commit murders. One convicted felon on probation for homicide had charges dismissed and was later arrested again with a weapon directly tied to another homicide case.

These are more than anomalies—they’re symptoms of a broader “soft on crime” culture championed by Soros‑backed district attorneys like Alvin Bragg, George Gascon, and Larry Krasner, who have routinely reduced or dropped charges—even in qualifying violent cases.

This represents a dangerous abdication of responsibility: criminals walk free, public safety is sacrificed, and then when extra weapons appear on the street, there’s no shock—just predictable policy failure.

The Electoral College is attacked for being “undemocratic” and disproportionately empowering conservative states. It is fair to say that the Electoral College is the last bastion between middle America and its overwhelming influence by the coastal elites, where it has been proven that even non-citizens are occasionally allowed to vote. It is the only guarantee that all voices are heard.

Meanwhile, those claiming descent from the true defenders of American values don’t stop at one hypocrisy—they lash out at the Supreme Court when rulings go against their agenda. Their anger now extends to Texas redistricting efforts. Yet, let’s call out the double standard: gerrymandering is practiced routinely by both parties.

So-called “Democrat hypocrisy” is rampant:

– California and Illinois, both under solid Democrat control, have drawn some of the most egregiously partisan district maps in the nation, earning an “F” from Princeton’s Gerrymandering Project.

– Illinois Republicans, such as Rep. Ryan Spain, have repeatedly criticized Gov. Pritzker for reneging on his campaign promise of fair, nonpartisan redistricting.

Yet now those same leaders break a sweat over Texas—a GOP‑led redistricting plan that could flip up to five House seats ahead of the 2026 midterms. Rather than acknowledging parity in tactics, Democrats flee the state legislature, file lawsuits, and broadcast outrage when the power balance doesn’t favor them.

Republicans arguing for these redrawn lines maintain: this isn’t “picking winners”—it’s reflecting how Texans vote. As Sen. John Cornyn explained, “Voters pick their politicians,” and maps should match population voting behavior, not skew in favor of entrenched incumbents.

To condemn GOP-led redistricting in Texas while turning a blind eye to blatant Democratic gerrymandering in blue states isn’t principled—it’s political convenience, plain and simple. It’s hypocrisy weaponized, not for justice, but for power.

Why now? Why this relentless hostility, this constant name-calling, this open disdain for the will of the people? The answer is clear: because the left knows this is their moment. The world is shifting, the ground is moving beneath us, and for them, it’s now or never.

So they drop the sheep costume. No more pretending. The mask slips—and beneath it, the wolf shows its sharpened fangs.
